Struuwelpeter is a familiar figure for many, the book of moral tales by Dr Heinrich Hoffman having been popular and widespread from the early years of the C20th. Recent years have seen a resurgence of the popularity of the book, despite its grisly content. This image is taken from the title page and shows the image of Shock-Headed Peter along with the cover graphic set against a nicely patinated background.

This is a very striking image with superb rich colour and looks wonderful as a large print. Highly recommended.
