Although the majority of Yeoman's images are of rural subjects, a few show his fascination with the emerging heavy industry of Victorian England.
This superb image perfectly captures the atmosphere of the developing industry at South Bank, and would have been in stark contrast to the pastoral landscape Yeoman would have been used to.
Once again the figures by the train are intent on watching the photographer, perhaps because they are deliberately posed, or possibly out of simple curiosity.
This is a fascinating and unusual picture which will be of particular significance to anyone interested in industrial history.
