Deepdale beck joins the Tees close to the Castle, and is a secluded and very picturesque beck which for much of its course runs through a heavily wooded valley. It was clearly one of Yeomans favourite subjects, incorporating many of his favourite ingredients of fast flowing water, dramatic rocks, and lush vegetation.
The large format original print retains excellent detail and has rich copper tones - a very typical Yeoman pastoral image.
