An unusual Yeoman image of an unknown but very picturesque cottage in Ambleside in the Lake District. Although Yeoman occasionally photographed the Eden Valley, there are few known pictures of the Lake District, suggesting that this may be a commissioned photograph, or that Yeoman may have known those in the picture. Nevertheless a charming image of a typically romantic Victorian country cottage.
